If a vehicle has "Available" on the chart, you need an upgraded trim level to start it remotely with the key fob. If it has "Standard" for key fob and "Available" for App, you can use a key fob to start it right away, but you may need a higher trim level to utilize remote start in the HondaLink app.

Honda CR-V Remote Start

To perform a Honda CR-V remote start, you'll want your key fob to be within 100 feet of the vehicle. Once there, perform the following instructions:

• Hit the lock button, and then hold the remote start button on your applicable key fob, which looks like an arrow going in a circle.
• To start driving, step on the brake and press the "Engine Start" button.

To remotely start your CR-V through the app, make sure you own a Sport Touring Hybrid and follow the method in the "Honda App for Remote Start" section below.

Honda Accord Remote Start

To get a Honda Accord remote start, you must:

• Get close enough to your Accord that the light blinks when using your remote.
• Lock your car. Within five seconds, hold the button that looks like an arrow going in a circle on your key fob.
• When ready to start driving, step on the brake and press the "Engine Start" button.

Honda Pilot Remote Start

The Honda Pilot remote start is available from the key fob from the base trim onward. With the key fob:

• Get within range. Typically, this is around 100 feet.
• Lock your vehicle and hold the arrow-in-a-circle button for at least one second immediately after locking.
• Once it's the right temperature, hit the engine button with the brake held down to start driving.

To remotely start Pilot Touring, Elite, and Black Edition models through the app, follow the procedure detailed below.

Honda Civic Remote Start

You'll need a Civic Sport or a higher-level variant to use the Honda Civic remote start functionality. Here's how:

• Get within 100 feet of your Honda Civic.
• Lock your car. Then, right after, hold the button that's an arrow in a circle for a few seconds.
• To start driving, step on the brake and press the "Engine Start" button.

The Honda Odyssey remote start is standard for all trims with the key fob, while HondaLink remote start is available on the Touring and Elite trims. While within around 100 feet of your Odyssey:

• Once you're ready to drive, hold the brake and press "Engine Start."

The Honda remote start app, or HondaLink, is your place to go for smartphone functionality with your high-end car, SUV, truck, or minivan. To use it, follow these steps:

• Register your model on the app by using your VIN. This will give it its homepage.
• To use remote start, you must first subscribe to the "Remote" services. Most new vehicles have a three-month trial of this level of service.
• With Remote services activated, open the "Remote Commands" prompt at the bottom of your vehicle homepage.
• Select "Start."
